Hubby called the server over and asked him specifically if the soup had onions in it. The server responded with a “I don’t think it does.” But then that was the problem. The server didn’t think.
Quick, diligent treatment is required to fight off and prevent head lice. Without it, a simple case of head lice can quickly spread to siblings, and quite possibly infest an entire household. The reasons that some families are unable to squash the epidemic before it gets out of control are varied. Most of the time the parents lack awareness in how to properly treat head lice. The more nits are laid, the more lice hatch, and the cycle becomes perpetual. The cost of treatment and the time involved in removing the nits can cause the problem to persist in certain children.
The dog food fiasco of a year ago, which also involved too much melamine, led to some figurative decapitations and a shakeup in China. But so far, the Chinese government has doled out little or no discipline for the current melamine imbroglio. I don’t know about you, but i find that very curious.
According to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, there are several different entities inside of the government who are in charge of handling such cases. If the problem occurs with a meat, poultry, or egg product you should call the usda Meat and Poultry hotline at 1-888-MPHotline (1-888-674-6854). If you are like Earl Hartman and find something unsavory in a non-meat food product that you have bought from the store, then you need to contact your local FDA (Food and Drug Administration) which can be found in your phone directory. Lastly, if the tainted food in question was served to you at a restaurant, you will need to contact your local or state health department.
Much of the response to the threat of Giardia is overkill. A favorite scholarly article on Giardia was written by Robert L. Rockwell, PhD. It’s titled, Giardia Lamblia and Giardiasis, With Particular Attention to the Sierra Nevada. Bob Rockwell is an active mountaineer who made his first trip into the Sierra Nevada in 1952 to climb Mt. Whitney, and he repeats this climb several times annually. He has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from UC-Berkeley, and a PhD in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (Biomechanics) from Stanford.
While I got high marks for the party, I decided that when the next luncheon comes around things would be done differently. I would put the stress of the party on someone else. That is when I started looking into catering services. As it turns out, I could have hired someone to do all the work for about the same amount of money that I spent doing it myself. While i did like the planning and preparing aspects, it was just way too much to do while trying to do while completing my other daily job tasks.
The first thing you need to remember when a bat gets in your house is to stay calm. Flipping out and being scared isn’t going to help the situation. Staying calm will also help other people in your house be more relaxed and level-headed as well.
